As a science teacher for 13 years, I continually used technology in different ways for instruction with my students. Now, as an Instructional Technology Specialist, I am privileged to work with different teachers in planning and coteaching in different content areas while utilizing technology with instruction.
One thing I know is that it can be difficult to leave that comfort zone in the classroom and try out a brand new way of doing things. Technology can allow us to do some truly exciting and challenging things with our students. The toughest part of the process is taking that first step of implementation, committing yourself to try something that you haven’t done with students before.
